2023 Moretti Rosso Mio (Super-Tuscan)
Another site for sore eyes, the Moretti ‘Rosso Mio’ is back! Steve and Antonio’s idea for a field blend that best represents the vintage this year enters a new chapter with the merging of east and west varietals to form our first Super-Tuscan! A mix of 50% Sangiovese, 30% Syrah and equal parts Grenache and Mourvèdre is the perfect balance of rustic red with ripe, lush Santa Ynez Valley fruit. This wine is tasting wonderful right now, but has the acidity to easily lay down for a decade. Drink now through 2033.
Moretti is dedicated to producing small-lot, well-balanced, food-friendly wines in a European tradition - meant to be paired with food. Our background and wine experience comes from the old world, and we strive to produce similarly styled wines using excellent Santa Barbara County grapes. We are lucky enough to have two of the finest winemakers in our AVA, Paul Lato and Steve Clifton, make our Spring and Fall releases, respectively, providing our customers with the chance to taste 'Cru' productions at 'Village' prices.
